The Punjab government recognized the highest achievers in the matriculation results from the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore on Tuesday.

An award ceremony took place in Lahore to celebrate the top position holders from the Lahore and Faisalabad boards. Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat presented medals and laptops to the top students.

For BISE Lahore, Muhammad Ayan Kashif from Daanish High School Mianwali secured the top spot with 1190 marks. The second position was shared by two students, Moez Haider and Maheen Sajjad, each scoring 1186 marks. Abeera Asghar, Ubaidullah Usman, Zainab Asif, and Sehar Shakeel achieved the third position.

“I got here because of the hard work of my mother and teachers,” said Lahore board topper Muhammad Ayan, expressing gratitude towards his support system.

Moreover, provincial minister Rana Sikandar Hayat congratulated all the top position holders in various education boards of Punjab. “Kudos to the dedicated teachers who have played a vital role in nurturing these young achievers,” he said.

Taking on X, he wrote, “Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, students from government schools have achieved a historic milestone after five long years, securing top positions in six boards.”

He further thanked the Punjab Chief Minister for cracking down on the cheating mafia. “By dismantling the cheating cartels, we have established a fair & equal opportunity for all, empowering talented students from humble backgrounds to excel,” he wrote.

BISE Lahore matric result 2024

Out of 250,000 students who took the BISE Lahore matric exams, 174,000 passed, resulting in an overall pass rate of 69.75%. In the Science Group, 73.91% of students passed, with female students achieving a notably high success rate. 80% of girls passed the exams, while the pass rate for boys was 67%. In the Arts Group, the overall pass rate was 55%, with females achieving a 63% pass rate and males 38%.

BISE Faisalabad matric result position holder

Zunaira Mushtaq of Faisalabad has secured top positions in the matriculation results in the arts group announced by the Faisalabad Boards.

“I am very happy, and the credit for my success goes to my father,” said Zunaira, highlighting her father’s efforts in supporting her education. “My father is providing me with an education by working hard,” she added, underscoring the significant role her father played in her academic journey. Zunaira aspires to study further and bring pride to her country and parents.

Chairperson Board/Commissioner Silwat Saeed presided over the ceremony and gave away medals and certificates to position-holder students. The first position holder was given a special prize of a laptop by the education board. The topper was also given a cash prize of Rs 20,000, a second Rs 15,000, and a third Rs 10,000.
