The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast more widespread rains with scattered heavy and isolated very heavy falls in Karachi, Hyderabad, and most parts of Sindh on Wednesday night, Thursday, and Friday, with occasional gaps.

A deep depression over Nagarparkar and adjoining coastal areas of Sindh is expected to move west/southwest in the next 24 hours, bringing strong monsoon currents into Pakistan, especially the southern regions. Additionally, a westerly wave is likely to affect the upper parts from tomorrow.

These weather conditions are expected to bring intermittent rains with scattered heavy and some very heavy falls in Tharparkar, Nagarparkar, Islamkot, Mithi, Mirpur Khas, Umarkot, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Matiari, Sanghar, Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Sajawal, Shaheed Benazirabad, Jamshoro, Sukkur, Ghotki, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Khairpur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Dadu, and Nausheroferoze on Wednesday night and the following two days.

Heavy rains may lead to flooding or inundation in low-lying areas of Sindh, with flash flooding expected in local streams and nullahs in Dadu, Karachi, and Hyderabad.

Karachi’s maximum temperature is likely to range between 29-31°C on Thursday and 30-32°C on Friday, while Hyderabad’s temperature will likely remain between 29-31°C on Thursday and 30-32°C on Friday.
