A coordinated campaign to malign Pakistan following the Sydney attack has been exposed, with claims and propaganda circulating on social media proven to be false.
After of the incident, sections of Indian media allegedly spread misleading images and unverified content online in an attempt to link the attack to Pakistan.
Observers have condemned efforts to turn a tragic incident into a political and propaganda battle, calling such actions irresponsible and inhumane. Viral videos and false accusations shared on social media were described as harmful, as they distracted from the real human story behind the tragedy.
The campaign targeting Pakistan relied on fabricated videos and manipulated data, yet no credible international or independent source supported the allegations made against the country. Analysts say this organized disinformation drive ignored facts and aimed solely at damaging Pakistan’s image globally.
During the spread of false narratives, genuine acts of human courage and sacrifice were largely overlooked. In particular, Muslim hero Ahmad Alahmad was praised for demonstrating that bravery and humanity know no boundaries of religion or race.
Experts stressed that terrorism has no link to any nation or faith and warned that associating such acts with entire communities is deeply irresponsible. They emphasized the importance of fact-based reporting, compassion for victims, and unity against extremism.
The incident was described as the act of an individual, and blaming an entire nation was labeled as an act of hate. Commentators added that attempts to target Pakistan were meant to divert attention from the real issues of extremism, support for victims, and the peaceful identity of Muslims worldwide.
