Kashmir Martyrs' Day: President Zardari, PM Shehbaz salute the sacrifice of 1931 heroes

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, paid solemn tribute to the martyrs of July 13, 1931, reaffirming Pakistan's unwavering support for the Kashmiri people in their struggle for self-determination.

President Asif Ali Zardari:

The Head of State said that the great struggle currently being carried forward by the Kashmiri people is a continuation of the sacrifices made by these 22 martyrs.

President Zardari stated that Pakistan honors the bravery, resolve, and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people.

He appealed to the international community and human rights organizations to take immediate notice of the ongoing Indian state terrorism and grave human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and to resolve the dispute in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif:

In a statement of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, he said, today reminds us of the innate resilience of Kashmiri Muslims, their resistance against brutal forces, and their unwavering determination.

The Prime Minister emphasized that Kashmiri people have been sacrificing their lives for the right to self-determination and continue to do so.

He reaffirmed that Pakistan's government, in accordance with UN resolutions, is committed to resolving the Kashmir issue and securing the right to self-determination for Jammu and Kashmir.

On the other side, Chairman Pakistan People's Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, said that lasting peace in the region is only possible when the Kashmir issue is resolved in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
