KARACHI: Administrator Karachi and Spokesperson of Sindh Government Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that he will give good news to the people of Karachi in December regarding the Karachi Circular Railway.

“In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, there is no gas load shedding, while in Sindh, despite gas production, there is load shedding, which has badly affected the industries.  We have to make Karachi prosperous. Let’s all work together for development of this city,” Murtaza Wahab said addressing the industrialists and business community at the FPCCI in Karachi today.

On this occasion, the officials of FPCCI and the industrial community expressed their gratitude to the administrator.

Murtaza Wahab said that the megalopolis had seen good times and bad times, but once again the government was trying to restore the lights of Karachi city.

He also said that when the government made a policy, someone got up and went to court, someone reached the NAB, along with the politicians, the bureaucracy and the judiciary also had to correct themselves, he said adding that calling someone a mafia would not change the system.

“It will happen, by changing ourselves, the system will be better, we have to end the fear. We have to fix this country. No one will come from outside. If you do not elect good people, then we will not be able to move forward. Solid waste is picking up garbage in all the seven districts of this city. This was not the case earlier. Now the city has a better sanitation system,” he said

Transport was one area in which we had to move forward, now modern buses had come and were plying across the city, he said. In coming days, long lasting transport problems will be solved through biogas technology, he said.

The Sindh government spokesperson said the KCR had been included in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) through the personal efforts of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

“When Imran Khan took it to Public Private Partnership, the project could not be completed, but once again Sindh Chief Minister Bilawal Bhutto went to China and in the coming days you will also get this good news,” he said.

“The work on Dhabiji Special Economic Zone will start in the next few months, Sindh Government and KMC stands with its business community where we are needed, we will support you. Gas load shedding does not happen in KP, there is no gas problem in Punjab either, Sindh supplies 60% gas to the federation, but unfortunately we did not get our right, Sindh Chief Minister is constantly in touch with the federation.  In the recent past, our MNAs who have been ministers in the federal government should be asked what they have done for the rights of their city and province. Institutions will remain permanent, people keep coming and going,” he maintained.
