LAHORE: News was reported on Monday that the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has introduced a modern tracking portal to ensure the timely and effective resolution of complaints registered through the 15 helpline.

The initiative seeks to make public service centers more transparent and keep citizens updated on their complaint statuses.

The new real-time tracking system will monitor complaints filed through the Virtual Women Police Station, the Virtual Center for Child Safety, and the Virtual Center for Minorities.

Applicants will receive a username and password to track their complaint’s progress at any time. Additionally, they can provide feedback and submit further grievances if they are dissatisfied with the resolution.

The authorities urge citizens to use the tracking portal for quick assistance.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has urged strict measures to combat tax evasion in Pakistan’s real estate sector as discussions begin in Islamabad to unlock a $1 billion loan tranche.

A nine-member delegation, led by Nathan Porter, arrived in Pakistan today to assess the country’s economic performance and decide on the release of the next $1 billion tranche.

Sources told news that Pakistan and the IMF have begun talks as part of the $7 billion loan program. During the discussions, the IMF urged authorities to take action against individuals who misdeclare property values.

The Pakistani government has assured the IMF that it will activate the Real Estate Regulatory Authority as part of the proposed reforms.

Sources revealed that authorities will impose strict penalties, including imprisonment and fines, on individuals and agents who falsely declare property values. Additionally, those who fail to register could face hefty fines.
