RAWALPINDI: Security forces on Friday killed 24 militants during a series of intelligence-based operations in Bannu district and surrounding areas over the past 24 hours.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the joint operations were carried out by security forces and law enforcement agencies following recent attacks targeting police personnel and civilians.
Accordingly in last twenty four hours following the fierce fire exchanges in Bannu district and adjoining areas, 24 khwarij belonging to Indian proxy Fitna Al Khwarij have been sent to hell.
Weapons and ammunition have also been recovered from killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities and killing of innocent civilians.
The operations in the area would continue and perpetrators of these henious and cowardly act will be brought to justice, as the relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm-e-Istehkam” (as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.

Earlier, Security forces have killed three more suspected militants during the ongoing Operation Shaban in Balochistan, bringing the total number of militants killed since July 5 to 129, according to security officials.
Security sources said the latest intelligence-based operation was carried out jointly by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan and police.
Troops targeted militant hideouts in remote and mountainous areas, inflicting what officials described as heavy losses on the armed group.
According to the sources, the three militants killed in the latest operation increased the number of militants killed specifically under Operation Shaaban to 91.
