RAWALPINDI: Security forces neutralized four militants during an intelligence based operation (IBO) in Lakki Marwat area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on night 18/19 February 2026, Security Forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Lakki Marwat District, on reported presence of khwarij belonging to Indian Proxy, Fitna al Khwarij.

During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the Khwarij location and after an intense fire exchange, four Khwarij were sent to hell.

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from Indian sponsored killed Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.

Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored kharji found in the area, as the relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm-e-Istehkam” (as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.

Meanwhile,  President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has lauded the country’s security forces for their professionalism and effectiveness following a successful operation in Lakki Marwat, which resulted in the elimination of four militants.

The President praised the skill, dedication, and coordination demonstrated by security personnel during the operation.

“The struggle and commitment of our security forces and law enforcement agencies in maintaining peace and combating terrorism are highly commendable,” the President stated.

The remarks highlight the government’s recognition of the critical role played by security agencies in ensuring public safety and stability across the country.
