Kate Middleton starts laughing at fellow rugby players request
The Princess of Wales Kate Middleton supported the English rugby team on Saturday during their Rugby League World Cup quarterfinal game.
The match will be Kate’s first since she took over from Prince Harry as the Rugby Football League’s patron after the elder royal retired.
Kate, a well-known rugby enthusiast, declared at halftime: “I’ve loved watching the game. It’s really exciting, it’s so fast-paced. It’s been really exciting, the atmosphere as well.”
Kate demonstrated her ability to handle herself in a game while observing from the stands after taking part in a rugby training session earlier this year.
At a training session at Twickenham stadium with the women’s national rugby union team, widely known as the Red Roses, Kate showed up with enthusiasm and said that she was prepared and wearing her uniform.
An embarrassed-looking rugby player informed the Princess that she would need to put her hands on Kate’s behind to show a lift performed during matches, and the Princess was overheard laughing hysterically.
The rugby player said to Kate that she would like to “make you aware” before doing the demonstration.
After that, Kate displayed her sense of humour by cheekily saying “oooh” in surprise as the players pulled her into the air.
In response to the player’s apology, Kate started laughing again and seemed thrilled as she was raised into the air. The player could be seen grinning and giggling at the royal’s exuberance.
The prince, who was spotted grinning at the experience, was joined in clapping and laughing by other players.
