Samantha Markle blasts Meghan Markle during new interview

The Duchess of Sussex, according to Meghan Markle’s estranged half-sister Samantha Markle, has not always been forthright about her history.

Samantha claims that Meghan Markle lied when she claimed to have worked at the American Embassy in Argentina prior to her marriage to Prince Harry. In reality, Meghan was there as part of a “study program.”

On the Tucker Carlson Today segment airing on Wednesday, she revealed fresh information regarding her friendship with Meghan, as well as the royal’s early years and upbringing.

She explained to Carlson why she was not invited to Meghan and Harry’s wedding in 2018, claiming that her half-sister was concerned that “the stories would come out” as a result of “a lot of porky pies (lies), probably told to the royals and even to Harry when they met her.”

One of the “lies” the former Suits star is said to have told the royal family included her time working at the embassy in Argentina.

She added: “Oh my God, you didn’t get grants and scholarships?” Samantha suggested the royals would have asked had they been exposed to Meghan’s wider family at the wedding. “‘You never worked for the embassy? What do you mean you only did a five-week study program?”

Meghan apparently worked for the embassy while attending Northwestern University and decided to focus in both acting and international relations. Samantha, however, claimed that this was an internship funded by her father, Thomas Markle, with a letter of recommendation from her uncle.

“Our Uncle Mike who worked for the embassy, as a favor to Dad—Dad paid for a five-week study program—Uncle Mike threw in a letter of recommendation to be kind, even though he’d only met Meghan when she was a baby.”

Samantha continued: “A five-week study program doesn’t equate with working at the embassy, which she told Rachael Ray and Craig Ferguson on live television. So all of these lies started coming out.”

Since 2013, Meghan, the wife of Prince Harry, has frequently discussed her time at the embassy in interviews.

The fact that Samantha is suing Meghan for defamation for remarks she made in her 2021 television interview with Oprah Winfrey and details she gave to the writers of Finding Freedom, a 2020 biography about Meghan and Harry, should be mentioned.
