KARACHI: Pakistani actor Mawra Hocane has candidly shared that she was the first to develop feelings for her husband, Ameer Gilani.
In a recent interview, Mawra said she was initially drawn to Ameer’s innocence and good looks. As she got to know him better, she discovered his gentle nature, refined manners, and unwavering support, qualities that gradually won her heart. She added that she prayed to God for Ameer to become her life partner.
The actor revealed that although Ameer also admired her, neither of them ever expressed their feelings directly. She credited Ameer Gilani’s mother for playing a pivotal role in bringing the two families closer and helping their relationship move forward.
Mawra also shared a personal moment, saying the very first ring she wore was placed on her finger by her mother-in-law herself.
Reflecting further, Mawra said she could never have imagined marrying anyone else if Ameer had not been in her life.
She recalled a defining moment on the set of the drama serial Sabaat, where seeing Ameer offering prayers reassured her that he was the person she wanted to spend her life with.
Expressing contentment, Mawra Hocane said she is extremely happy in her married life and that she and Ameer Gilani share deep love and mutual respect.
