Pakistan beat Sri-Lanka by five wickets in the third One Day International at Karachi tonight.

Batting first, Sri Lanka set a victory target of 298 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in allotted fifty over.

In reply, Pakistan achieved the target in 48.2 overs for the loss of five wickets.

Fakhar Zaman and Abid Ali have added up a huge 123-runs for the opening stand after Sri Lanka, boosted by a career best 133 by opener Danushka Gunathilaka, posted a challenging 297-9 at the National Stadium Karachi.

Abid Ali got out in the 19th over by de Silva at 74 off 67 balls which included 10 fours at a strike rate of 110.44 while Babar Azam also became prey of Nuwan Pradeep at 31 off 26b after hitting two fours at the strike rate of 119.23 in 29th over.

Gunathilaka‘s knock off 134 balls had 16 boundaries and a six after Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat on a flat National stadium pitch.

Pakistan leads the three-match series 1-0 after winning the second match by 67 runs while the first match was rained off — both in Karachi. Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first.

The Islanders made three changes to their squad. Sadeera Samarawickrama, Isuru Udana and Oshada Fernando have not been picked up while Minod Bhanuka, Lakshan Sandakan and Angelo Perera are in.

Pakistan made two changes to their playing XI.

Abid Ali and Mohammad Nawaz have replaced Imam-ul-Haq and Imad Wasim.
