Rain hits on Day 2 of the second Four Day Intra-Squad Practice Match

As the rain started on Day 2 of the second Four Day Intra-Squad Practice Match between Team White and Team Green, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Fawad Alam didn’t get much time to bat on.

Coming back to the second day at 88-3, Team White added only 20 runs to the team’s total that reached 108-3 at the stumps. 5 runs lead the batting side.

Sohail Khan bagged five wickets for 37 runs earlier, as Team White bowled Team Green out for just 113 runs.

Sent to bat first, Team Green lost openers for only 10 runs, both being victims of Khan ‘s formidable form. Shan Masood scored nine while Abid Ali scored just one run.

Babar Azam was Azhar Ali XI’s highest scorer, as the right-handed batsman scored 32 runs off 77 deliveries using three boundaries. Wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan, who scored a ton in last practice game, was only able to score 18 runs.

Other than Sohail, Faheem Ashraf bagged two wickets for 16 runs while Imran Khan and Kashif Bhatti were each taking a wicket.

In response, Team White scored 88-3 on Day 1, after bowling Team Green out for 113.

With the bat, Team Green was not up to the mark but took three early wickets to make a comeback in the game

Team White was overshadowed by an early blow when Imam-ul-Haq walked out after an injury. With the help of four boundaries, Fakhar Zaman scored 22 runs off 47 balls. Haider Ali and Iftikhar Ahmed each made 7 runs.
