The New Zealand Cricket on Tuesday released the schedule of Pakistan’s tour starting in December this year.
According to the details, in a statement, the New Zealand Cricket also announced the schedule of matches with the West Indian team which will begin its tour with a T20I match at Eden Park on Nov 27.
“We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the New Zealand government for helping us navigate this complex process,” New Zealand Cricket Chief Executive David White said in a statement.
“Hosting these tours is incredibly important to us for two reasons: international cricket brings in revenue that funds the entire game of cricket in New Zealand and, also, it’s crucial that we look after the fans of the game and sport in general, especially during these difficult times.”
The NZC official stated that it will cover the quarantine and flight costs of the visiting teams.
Match Schedule
Twenty20 matches
- 1st T20I, Eden Park (Auckland) on 18 Dec
- 2nd T20I, Seddon Park (Hamilton) on 20 Dec
- 3rd T20I, McLean Park (Napier) on 22 Dec
Test matches
- 1st Test, Bay Oval (Mount Maunganui) 26-30 Dec
- 2nd Test, Hagley Oval (Christchurch) 03-07 Jan
Earlier The Government of Zimbabwe also allowed its national team to play a limited over series against Pakistan scheduled in October.
The teams will play three One-Day Internationals between Oct. 30 and Nov. 3, and another three Twenty20 International fixtures that have been scheduled in for Nov. 7-10.
The news was announced by the ZC on their official Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon.
As per the schedule, the team is set to arrive in Pakistan on October 20.
The ODI series will be part of the inaugural ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.
