Prior to the announcement, a release from the PCB stated that three more players tested positive for the dreaded virus.
The official release also stated that the unnamed players were not part of the double-header games.
It is worth mentioning here that a total of 14 games had taken place in the competition which started on February 20. The tournament had to be postponed last year too just before the playoffs in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. The remaining matches were later held in November.
Moreover, the PCB Chief Executive Wasim Khan and Babar Hamid, Director – Commercial are set to hold a press conference to give more updates on the postponement. The conference will be streamed live on the PCB YouTube Channel.
