Manchester United has been handed a significant boost ahead of their upcoming Premier League encounter against Everton on November 26, with star left-back Luke Shaw making a triumphant return to training after a three-month absence.

In a brief press release, the club confirmed the positive development: “Manchester United have received a major boost ahead of the return to Premier League action, with Luke Shaw back in training. Our cameras at Carrington have captured images of the left-back working with the main group, in advance of Sunday’s game at Everton (16:30 GMT kick-off). The England international suffered what was described as a ‘muscle issue’ in August.”

Shaw, a pivotal player for manager Erik ten Hag, played a crucial role in the previous season, contributing significantly to the team’s third-place finish in the league and their triumph in the Carabao Cup.

The 28-year-old left-back has been sidelined since August 19, following an injury sustained in a 2-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur. His absence has been notably felt, with various players, including Victor Lindelof, Diogo Dalot, and loanee Sergio Reguilon, attempting to fill the void on the left flank.

Ten Hag, however, will not be present on the sidelines for the Everton clash, having been handed a one-game ban after receiving a yellow card in the last match against Luton Town FC.

Manchester United is already grappling with the absence of two key players, Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez, who are sidelined with long-term problems. Shaw’s return is anticipated to provide a much-needed boost to both fans and the management.

The news comes at a critical juncture for Manchester United, as they navigate a challenging season. Struggling in the UEFA Champions League with just one win in four games, there’s added pressure to secure positive results to avoid elimination. A finish in the third position would see them relegated to the UEFA Europa League, adding further stakes to their remaining group stage matches.
