According to local media on Thursday, Pakistan men’s team director Mohammad Hafeez blamed the players for the team’s losses in the Test series against Australia and the Twenty20 series against New Zealand.

Acting PCB Chairman Shah Khawar met with Hafeez, and Salman Naseem, the COO of the PCB, was also present.

The 43-year-old said that the players weren’t paying enough attention to the game since they were too busy playing in the ongoing franchise T20 competitions.

It was already stated that, following underwhelming performances in Australia and New Zealand, Hafeez’s tenure as director may come to an end. Over in Australia, Pakistan was defeated 3-0, while the Blackcaps defeated the Men in Green 4-1.

The side had a deal with Hafeez, sometimes known as Professor, that expired on December 15. PCB is probably going to ask him to stop now.
