On Tuesday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that it has granted the cricket broadcasting rights in Pakistan to the Pakistan Television Corporation (PTVC) and Tower Sports, the Landing Rights License Holder of Ten Sports Pakistan, until the end of 2025.
Both PTVC and Tower Sports have secured non-exclusive rights to air six significant men’s and women’s ICC World events up until 2025. Besides conventional television broadcasting, they will also hold digital rights, enabling fans throughout Pakistan to watch the events via digital platforms.
The agreements encompass the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025, ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, ICC World Test Championship Final 2025, and ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.
ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice expressed his contentment with the partnerships, stating, “We are pleased to welcome PTVC and Tower Sports to our roster of broadcast partners for the upcoming two years. Pakistan holds significant importance in the realm of world cricket, boasting a vast and dedicated fan base. We are excited about the opportunity to bring ICC events to a wider audience within the country.”
