LAHORE: Lahore Qalandars have announced their squad for the upcoming Global Super League (GSL) in Guyana, with New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell named as captain of the team.
The squad features a combination of experienced international players and emerging talents as the Pakistan Super League (PSL) champions prepare for the global tournament.
Michael Bracewell to lead Qalandars:
The 13-member squad includes Parvez Hossain, Shayan Jahangir, Delano Potgieter, Abdullah Shafique, Usama Mir, Shamyl Hussain, Mohammad Naeem, Imran Randhawa, Mehran Mumtaz, Farhan Yousaf, Shahab Khan, Mohammad Basit, and Ali Shabbir.
Bracewell’s leadership and international experience are expected to provide stability to a side aiming to make a strong impact in the tournament.
Shaun Tait appointed head coach:
Former Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait has been appointed as the head coach of Lahore Qalandars’ Global Super League squad.
The announcement was made by Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana, who praised Tait’s international experience and competitive approach.
Speaking at a press conference, Atif Rana said that Tait brings valuable knowledge and a winning mentality to the team.
He added that the squad has been carefully selected to create a balance between experienced players and young talent, giving emerging cricketers an opportunity to gain international exposure and improve their skills.
Global Super League schedule:
The Global Super League will take place in Guyana from July 23 to August 1.
Lahore Qalandars will begin their campaign against Perth Scorchers on July 23, as they look to compete against top international teams in the tournament.
