Plans for a comprehensive “Operation Clean Up” within the national cricket team are underway. Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has engaged in discussions with board officials, associates, and numerous ex-cricketers to tackle the problems. A unanimous decision has been made to remove players involved in team politics and not to keep underperforming players under any conditions.

This firm action is planned to occur after the conclusion of Pakistan’s T20 World Cup campaign. Insider information suggests that a minimum of six players are likely to be dismissed. It is reported that some players remain in the squad due to their good rapport with the captain, despite their lackluster performances.

Questions have been raised about Babar Azam’s captaincy, with critics highlighting his weak leadership and the discontent among team members. Doubts have surfaced regarding his decision-making abilities and other related matters.

Interestingly, several top cricketers, including Babar, are managed by the same management company. Zaka Ashraf, the former Management Committee Chairman, tried to limit the power of agents but eventually stepped down. There are rumors that the current trends and statements on social media are part of an orchestrated campaign.

The PCB Chairman intends to hold a press conference soon to address the public, although it is unclear how much he will reveal. Some advisors suggest that he should speak generally without naming specific players.

In addition, sources have disclosed a significant increase in factionalism within the PCB, leading to actions to break up these factions. Substantial changes in various departments are expected.

Chairman Naqvi is planning to work with ex-cricketers to formulate a strategy to improve the team’s performance.

On the other hand, Pakistan players have expressed dissatisfaction with recent comments by PCB officials, arguing that such matters could have been deferred until after the World Cup.
