The Pakistan men’s national selection committee has announced the playing XI for the decisive third Test against England, scheduled to start on Thursday, October 24, in Rawalpindi. According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), captain Shan Masood’s team remains unchanged after their impressive win in the second Test.

Spinners Nauman Ali and Sajid Khan were pivotal in Pakistan’s comeback, as they dominated the English batsmen, leading the team to a 152-run victory in Multan. This win leveled the three-match series at 1-1, setting up an exciting finale.

To replicate the conditions from the second Test, the team management has instructed curators in Rawalpindi to prepare a pitch similar to Multan’s. Typically known for being batting-friendly, the Pindi pitch will be adjusted using pedestal fans and heaters to dry the surface.

The series has seen contrasting results for both sides. England secured a commanding win in the first Test by an innings and 47 runs, but Pakistan’s strong response in the second Test has set the stage for a thrilling conclusion to the series.

Pakistan’s Playing XI for the Third Test:  Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, Shan Masood (C), Kamran Ghulam, Saud Shakeel (VC), Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Salman Ali Agha, Aamir Jamal, Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, Zahid Mehmood.
