Islamabad witnessed a remarkable display of skill as three Pakistani squash players advanced to the semifinals of the PSA World Tour CAS International Squash Championship, reinforcing Pakistan’s growing dominance in the sport.

Hamza Khan, Noor Zaman, and Nasir Iqbal each delivered commanding performances in the quarterfinals, securing their places among the tournament’s top four competitors.

Top-seeded Hamza Khan overcame Egypt’s Karim El Hammamy in a thrilling 3-1 victory, concluding the 44-minute match with scores of 11-8, 11-5, 7-11, 12-10.

Noor Zaman followed suit, defeating Egypt’s Yasser Shoudy 3-0 to book his semifinal spot, while Nasir Iqbal convincingly beat third-seeded Mostafa Asal 3-0 with scores of 11-4, 11-9, 11-6.

With three of the four semifinal positions claimed by Pakistan, the only other finalist is Switzerland’s David Barnett.

The CAS International Squash Championship, a PSA World Tour Copper event, boasts a total prize pool of $37,000 and serves as a key platform for rising talent to showcase their prowess on the international stage.
