Today, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry in a press conference said,

That Pakistan is setting up its own medical equipment industry by initial production of various equipment.

 He said that,

We import medical equipment worth 1.6 billion dollars. If we achieve to substitute that it will be a huge achievement, said by the minister.

Fawad Chaudhry said that the items such as disposable syringes, cannulas, and vials for blood tests were not manufactured in Pakistan before. But now the Ministry of Science and Technology is setting up factories for this.

According to the reports, this will also improve the country’s monetary condition, said the minister, adding that medical equipment exports bring in a lot of money.

The Federal Minister for Science also declared that Pakistan will start making electric buses as well.

Yesterday, Pakistan signed a MOU with Chinese company Sky well for electric buses.
