Honor is set to launch its new X60 series smartphones on October 16 in China, succeeding the Honor X50. In an exciting reveal just a week before the launch, the company announced that the Honor X60 series will include satellite communication capabilities.
This feature, confirmed by Honor officials on Weibo, will allow users to send and receive messages via satellite, providing a crucial communication option in areas with limited cellular network coverage. The Honor X60 flagship will be the first in the X series to offer this innovative connectivity.
Additionally, the X60 series will boast an impressive “Honor Qinghai Lake” battery with a capacity of 6,600mAh, promising two days of battery life on a single charge—an upgrade from the 5,800mAh batteries found in the previous X50 series.
Speculation surrounding the Honor X60 series suggests it will feature a 6.8-inch full-HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device will be a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 chipset, complemented by 12GB of RAM, an additional 12GB of virtual RAM, and 256GB of onboard storage.
Running on Android 14-based MagicOS 8, the Honor X60 is expected to feature a 108MP main rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera, making it a strong contender in the smartphone market.
