WhatsApp Unveils Shortcut for Meta AI in Chats Tab
WhatsApp is gearing up to launch a major update to enhance the Updates tab interface, making it easier for users to manage channel and status updates.
As reported by WABetaInfo, the update includes quick shortcuts designed to simplify uploading media for status and channel updates. These shortcuts allow users to select and upload photos or videos directly from their gallery, streamlining the process to just a few taps.
The update also revamps the text-based and voice status update features. A newly integrated button enables users to quickly create text statuses, while an option for recording and sharing voice updates removes the need to rely on the floating action button.
The improved layout aligns with the latest updates across other app sections for a consistent and seamless user experience.
Additionally, WhatsApp has revamped the floating action button in the Updates tab, allowing for greater functionality.
Upon selection, users can access various options, including creating status updates, starting new channels, and sharing photos, videos, voice, or text updates within existing channels. This cohesive redesign consolidates all these features into a single section for improved accessibility.
While these innovative updates will soon be available to the general public, beta testers using WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.26.13 can already explore the features. The beta version is currently accessible via the Google Play Store.
