WhatsApp is testing a multi-account feature for iPhone users, allowing them to use two different WhatsApp accounts on a single device. This feature, which was rolled out for Android users in October 2023, has been highly anticipated for iPhones.
The update, discovered in the beta version 25.2.10.70 of WhatsApp for iOS, will allow iPhone users to seamlessly switch between two accounts without the need for third-party app clones or the WhatsApp Business app trick.
Although the feature is not yet available to beta users, it is expected to be accessible in future updates.
Once the testing phase is complete, multi-account support will be made available to all iPhone users worldwide, although it may take a few months before it’s fully rolled out.
This addition brings iPhones in line with Android devices, where users have enjoyed the ability to manage two accounts on the same phone for a while.
WhatsApp’s move is expected to improve user experience for those managing personal and business accounts or two different phone numbers.
