Teachers: Leading in Crisis, Re-imagining the Future
The world honors honorable teachers and mentors on World Teachers’ Day today.
The theme for Teachers’ Day 2020 is “Teachers: Leading in Crisis, Re-imagining the Future”.
Teachers play a huge role in shaping the futures of youth. A good teacher and mentor motivate the students and make them respectable citizens of society.
During the coronavirus pandemic, teachers managed to teach students and take classes online. They made endless efforts to deliver their lectures to pupils through online platforms. Even though some of them did not know immense knowledge of Information Technology, they manage to learn and did not make it their weakness.
World Teachers’ Day is celebrated every year since 1994 commemorating the anniversary of the adoption of the 1966 International Labor Organization and UNSECO recommendations concerning the status of teachers.
The day is observed in partnership with International Labor Organization, UNESCO, and Education International.
This year, the day will be celebrated virtually and it will be marked over a week from October 5 to October 12.
