Miley Cyrus Celebrates 33rd Birthday With a Heartfelt Message About Aging and Self-Love

Miley Cyrus Celebrates 33rd Birthday With a Heartfelt Message About Aging and Self-Love.

Miley Cyrus marked her 33rd birthday on Sunday with a heartfelt social media post that celebrated the beauty of aging and embracing oneself.

The pop icon, who first became a household name as Miley Stewart on Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana, grew up under the spotlight as the daughter of country star Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus.

From 2006 to 2011, she captured the hearts of millions with her breakout role before forging a bold, boundary-pushing music career of her own. Her 2023 hit “Flowers” became an anthem of self-empowerment, and Cyrus seems to be living that independence fully.

In her birthday tribute, Cyrus reflected on the positive aspects of getting older—treasured friendships, personal growth, and even the little signs of aging like wrinkles. Her message was a reminder that every stage of life comes with its own beauty and strength.

“33 is already burning bright thanks to the warmth of your sweet birthday wishes. All I want this year is more laughs with the people who give me the little smile lines that are starting to show up. 🤍 I love you all,” she captioned the set of black-and-white photos, which feature the beauty blowing out her birthday candle and smiling.

While Cyrus has found great peace at age 33, she’s been through a lot, including struggles with substance abuse and divorce. Back in October, she opened up about what it was like being a hot rod for controversy during her “Bangerz” era.

“I was the first person to maybe ever be canceled, I guess,” Cyrus told CBS Sunday Morning earlier this year, Billboard reported. “Well, you know, I didn’t know until I was older, actually, how brutal it really was, ‘cause it was very, I guess, you know, challenging for other people,” she continued. “But for me, it was a good time. It looked fun, and it was fun.”

Still, Cyrus said she wouldn’t look at anyone going through what she did and judge them the same way people did to her.

“I would never now, being where I am, ever look at someone in their 20s from the view of who I am now,” she said. “But at the time, it was awesome.”
