Karol G and Feid, both from Medellín, Colombia, not only share a love for reggaeton music but have also toured together and collaborated on music. Despite initially denying dating rumors during Karol G’s U.S. Bichota Tour in 2021, they eventually confirmed their romantic connection. In June 2023, the couple was seen holding hands after Feid’s Miami show, and later, he attended Karol G’s performances at the Rose Bowl during her Mañana Será Bonito U.S. stadium tour in August, as reported by Billboard.

Feid, whose real name is Salomón Villada Hoyos, was born in Medellín, Colombia, the same city as Karol. He discovered his love for performing in seventh grade and started writing songs.

Karol and Feid were acquainted in Medellín but lost touch until they reconnected in 2021. “There was a long time when we didn’t speak to each other, and I barely knew anything about him,” Karol shared with Rolling Stone in 2023.

Feid takes pride in his Medellín roots, infusing the city’s culture, language, and style into his music and performances.

Similar to Karol, Feid is a reggaeton artist and songwriter who inked a deal with Universal Music Publishing Group in 2016, according to Billboard. Reggaeton, originating from Puerto Rico, combines reggae and hip-hop influences. Both Karol and Feid are proud to showcase their Latin American culture.

In 2023, he mentioned that creating Ferxxo was a way to honor his roots in Medellín and express himself more authentically.
