A few years ago, news broke that donkey meat was being sold to restaurants in Lahore, and it quickly went viral. Since then, people have trolled Lahoris for allegedly eating donkey meat. Whenever bizarre or foolish news emerges from the city, social media users are quick to blame it on the citizens consuming donkey meat instead of real beef. However, it now seems that Lahore isn’t the only city caught in this situation.
People have viewed restaurants with growing skepticism ever since the use of such meat in food became a reality.

Islamabad has become the latest victim of this crime, as the Food Authority seized 25 tonnes of donkey meat in the city’s Tarnol area. Authorities confirmed that the meat was intended for human consumption. Mainstream media outlets are now actively reporting the incident.
