KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast intense heat and humid conditions in the city, warning of heatwave-like weather on Thursday.
The department said the maximum temperature is likely to remain between 39°C and 41°C, while the “feels-like” temperature may rise above 40°C due to high humidity levels.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 30.3°C, while the current temperature stood at 32°C. Humidity levels reached 79 percent, further intensifying heat conditions.
Southwesterly winds are blowing at around 22 kilometers per hour, while the weather is expected to remain clear throughout the day with no chances of rainfall.
The PMD has advised citizens to take precautionary measures, avoid unnecessary outdoor exposure during peak hours, and stay hydrated amid the ongoing heat conditions.
