Karachi: The ongoing heatwave in Karachi is expected to ease from today, although hot and humid conditions are likely to persist in the city, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The minimum temperature in Karachi was recorded at 29.5°C, while humidity levels remained high at around 75 percent, contributing to uncomfortable weather conditions across the city.

The maximum temperature in the city reached 38°C. Despite this, a slight reduction in heat intensity is expected as sea breezes gradually resume along the coastal areas.

With the return of sea winds, residents are likely to experience some relief during the daytime. In the evening, parts of the city are expected to remain partly cloudy.

However, the PMD clarified that no rainfall is expected in Karachi during the coming week, and hot and humid weather conditions are likely to continue.
