Karachi: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Karachi is experiencing a gradual increase in daytime and nighttime temperatures.

The city recorded a minimum temperature of 14.7°C today, while the maximum temperature is expected to range between 27°C and 30°C, with humidity levels currently standing at 49%.

Dense fog has blanketed parts of the city, reducing visibility to around five kilometers. There is no chance of rainfall in Karachi at present while light northeast winds are blowing at a speed of 4 km/h.

Nationwide weather outlook

PMD forecasts cold and dry weather in most regions of the country. Morning and nighttime temperatures in mountainous areas are expected to remain severely cold.

The department predicts partly cloudy to cloudy conditions, with light rain and snowfall at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and northern Balochistan.

In Islamabad and surrounding areas, cold weather will persist, with partly cloudy skies expected later in the afternoon. Light rain accompanied by gusty winds and thunder is also likely after midday.

Gilgit-Baltistan is expected to experience cold conditions with cloudy skies, along with thunderstorms, rainfall, and light snowfall in some areas. Most districts of Balochistan will remain cold, while northern districts may see partly cloudy weather.

Light rain and snowfall are expected in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Zhob, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, and nearby regions.
