Tourists in China hanging upturned on broken theme park ride went viral on social media. Amusement parks are entertaining places where people may enjoy themselves and seek thrills. However, for some, the prospect of riding and descending a fast-moving, whirling track may be frightening. These parks’ attractions are notorious for turning one’s stomach into mush and delivering insane accelerations and G-forces. However, the experience can worsen if one discovers that their ride has become trapped in mid-air. The scream of delight and ecstasy transforms into a scream of death.

A group of tourists to an amusement park in Fuyang, Anhui Province, China, recently experienced a different kind of scare: the enormous pendulum ride was stationary for approximately 10 minutes.

The enormous pendulum attraction at the park broke down on January 19, leaving people hanging upside down. The ride had a mechanical failure and became stuck at its highest point, as seen in the video.

Workers and employees at this Chinese amusement park attempted but failed to repair the gigantic pendulum attraction. They couldn’t get the control panel to restart. After repeated attempts, officials opted to personally repair the ride by climbing up the ride’s poles.

Officials from the park said that the swing suffered the issue because it exceeded the weight limit with the number of people on it.

Fortunately, the officials managed to fix the ride and got it moving within 10 minutes. The amusement park officials also issued refunds to the affected tourists and offered help with medical expenses for the trauma caused due to the ride failure.
