UAE Golden Visa
The UAE has a special visa called the Golden Visa. Many people who work, study, or do business in the UAE want this visa. The UAE started giving this visa in 2019.
The office that gives visas in Dubai said that they gave more Golden Visas in the first half of 2023 than before. They said they gave more than 150,000 Golden Visas by November 2022. People who buy houses, invest money, or work in some jobs can get this visa.
The Golden Visa lasts for 10 years. It has many benefits for the people who have it. They can bring their family members to live with them in the UAE. They can also bring their children who are older than 18 or not married. They can bring their children who have special needs, no matter how old they are. They can also hire as many helpers as they want. The Golden Visa does not expire if they go outside the UAE for a long time.
People who work in some fields like health, media, IT, and others can get the Golden Visa if they earn more than Dh30,000 a month.
Nonetheless, in some cases, one does not need employment in order to qualify for a 10-year visa. These are five of them, in order:
Property buyers: The Golden Visa is available to citizens of the United Arab Emirates and foreign investors who purchase one or more homes for a total cost of Dh2 million or more. This covers both existing and off-plan properties across the nation.
Dubai made a significant statement by waiving the Dh1 million down payment requirement for 10-year visas for property purchasers. To meet the eligibility requirements, the property’s overall worth must still be Dh2 million or more.
Cash deposit: People who have a lot of money can put Dh2 million in a bank in the UAE for two years and get the special visa. Many banks in the UAE are helping the people who choose this plan.
Entrepreneur: Flexible standards are imposed by the executive regulations for entrepreneurs who qualify for Golden Residence. An entrepreneur must be the owner of, or a partner in, a startup that is classified as a small or medium-sized business (SMEs) in the nation and brings in at least Dh1 million in sales annually.
Additionally, the individual will be eligible for the Golden Residence if they founded the business or were one of the founders of a prior venture that sold for at least Dh7 million. Projects or proposals need to be approved by the Ministry of Economy or the appropriate municipal authorities.
Scientist & researchers: Based on proposals from the Emirates Scientists Council, scientists and researchers with significant accomplishments and impact in their profession are awarded golden visa residency. The ideal candidate will have significant research accomplishments in addition to a PhD or Master’s degree from one of the top universities in the world in the fields of engineering, technology, life sciences, or natural sciences.
Outstanding students: The 10-year visa is available to exceptional graduates from UAE universities and the top 100 universities in the world, as well as high-achieving secondary school students in the UAE. The year of graduation, the university classification, and the cumulative average of academic performance are some of the specific requirements.
