
Rain forecasted in southeast districts of Karachi, Sindh
Intermittent rains and gusty or dust-raising winds are expected in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Monday evening/night, Tuesday, and Wednesday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Continental air currently prevails over most parts of Pakistan, but a westerly wave is anticipated to enter the upper regions of the country by Tuesday evening/night.
Due to these conditions, isolated rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms are expected in Lahore, Kasur, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, and Gujrat on Monday evening/night. Meanwhile, hot and dry weather is likely to persist in Murree, Galyat, and surrounding areas.
On Tuesday and Wednesday evenings/nights, isolated rain and windstorms or thunderstorms are forecasted for Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Mianwali, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Lahore, Kasur, Hafizabad, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, and Narowal.
The southern districts can expect very hot weather and gusty or dust-raising winds, while hot and dry conditions are predicted for the rest of the province.
In Lahore, maximum temperatures are expected to range between 43-45°C on Tuesday and 42-44°C on Wednesday.
Over the last 24 hours, Lahore and most parts of the province experienced hot and dry conditions, with extremely hot weather prevailing in the southern districts. Bhakkar and Noorpur Thal recorded the highest temperatures in the province at 47°C. Hafizabad, Okara, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Gujranwala each recorded a maximum temperature of 46°C. In Lahore, the maximum temperature reached 43°C, with morning relative humidity recorded at 37 percent.
