
Rain Hits Karachi as Dark Clouds Appear in the City
Monsoon rains and gusty winds with isolated heavy falls are expected in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Wednesday night, Thursday, and Friday.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), strong monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are likely to penetrate the upper parts of Pakistan tonight. Additionally, a westerly wave is expected to approach the region on Thursday.
Under these conditions, rains and gusty winds are forecasted for Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujarat, Gujranwala, Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Narowal, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, and Sahiwal on Wednesday night. Heavy falls may also occur at a few places in Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, and Gujrat during this period.
On Thursday and Friday, more rains and gusty winds are likely in Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Narowal, Sialkot, Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock, Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, and Sahiwal. Heavy falls may also occur at a few places during this period.
Lahore’s maximum temperature is expected to range between 36-38°C on Thursday and 35-37°C on Friday.
In the last 24 hours, rain and thundershowers occurred at isolated places in northeast Punjab.
