The trend of reducing solar panel prices in the country continues. According to a report from the Rawalpindi market, the prices of solar panels are significantly decreasing.

A local shopkeeper mentioned that a solar panel that previously cost between PKR 50,000 to PKR 60,000 is now available for PKR 20,000 to PKR 21,000, representing a drop of over 100%.

The market currently stocks Chinese solar panels with varying quality grades, with the best panels now priced at PKR 21,000, down from over PKR 50,000 in the past.

To power four fans and four lights during the day, the cost of solar panels is now PKR 50,000 to PKR 60,000.

Previously, these panels would have cost PKR 125,000. The majority of customers are looking for solutions to run air conditioners during the day. For this, the minimum cost is PKR 200,000, requiring six solar panels.

The substantial price reduction is making solar energy more accessible to a larger population, encouraging more households to switch to this sustainable energy source.
