Islamabad Electric Bus Service: Know updates routes, fares here
In an effort to reduce pollution and noise, while enhancing commuting convenience, especially for students, seniors, and women, the government has introduced an electric bus service in the federal capital.
Up to 30 buses will operate on two routes—from Nust to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) and from Pims to Bari Imam. Each passenger will pay a flat fee of Rs 50 to the CDA. Additionally, a fleet of 70 buses has arrived in Islamabad and will be deployed on 11 more routes after a month-long training program for the drivers and their assistants.
In the coming months, CDA will also receive the final fleet of 60 buses, bringing the total number to 160.
Initially, 30 buses will serve two main routes:
NUST Orange Line Depot (G-11) to PIMS Hospital, with stops at G-11 Markaz, G-10 Markaz, G-9 Markaz, G-8 Markaz, and PIMS Hospital.
PIMS Hospital to Bari Imam, with stops at G-7, G-6, Melody, Abpara, Ataturk Road, Serena Hotel, Foreign Office, Radio Pakistan, and Diplomatic Enclave.
The city plans to expand the service to 11 routes connecting various stations and landmarks across Islamabad.

IJP Road IBS-10: NHA Station (Orange Line) to B-17
IBS-11: NHA Station (Orange Line) to I-16
IBS-12: PIMS to NDU E-9 via Faisal Masjid, Zafar / Shaheen Chowk
