Fab Morvan, a French singer, dancer, and model, is best known as one half of the iconic 1980s R&B duo Milli Vanilli. While the duo’s meteoric rise and subsequent downfall due to a lip-syncing scandal have overshadowed their musical talents, Morvan has persevered and carved a unique path in the entertainment industry.
Born in Paris in 1966, Morvan moved to Germany in his late teens to pursue a career as a dancer and model. His path intersected with Rob Pilatus, and together they formed Milli Vanilli, a duo that quickly gained international fame with their infectious pop hits.
In 1990, a shocking revelation rocked the music world: Morvan and Pilatus had not actually sung on any of their recordings. The duo had been lip-syncing to vocals provided by other singers. This scandal led to the revocation of their Grammy Award, the deletion of their albums, and the dissolution of Milli Vanilli.
Despite the setback, Morvan and Pilatus remained determined to continue their musical careers. They formed the duo Rob & Fab, releasing a self-titled album in 1993. However, the album failed to achieve commercial success.
Morvan later embarked on a solo career, releasing his debut album “Love Revolution” in 2003. He wrote, produced, and sang all the tracks on the album, showcasing his musical abilities beyond the Milli Vanilli era.
In addition to his music career, Morvan has made appearances in television and film projects. He participated in a VH1 documentary series about Milli Vanilli and was featured in a BBC documentary about the duo.
Morvan has been married twice and has four children. He currently lives in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
