Fast bowler Khurram Shahzad has been declared fit and is available for selection ahead of Pakistan’s upcoming Test series against England, according to the report.

In addition, Aamir Jamal is also being considered for the squad after recovering from previous fitness issues. Jamal has regained full fitness and recently played in two matches of the Champions One Day Cup.

Shahzad was rested during the tournament with the England series in mind, and his medical reports have now been cleared. Both players faced fitness challenges; Jamal missed the series against Bangladesh due to an injury sustained while playing county cricket. Similarly, Shahzad had an injury during the second Test against Bangladesh but has since fully recovered.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to announce the squad for the England series in the coming days. The national team will report to Multan on October 2 to commence preparations, with the England team arriving on the same day.

Recently, the PCB confirmed the schedule for the Test series. The second Test, originally set to take place at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi from October 15-19, will now be held at Multan Cricket Stadium.

Revised Schedule:

  • Oct 7-11: First Test, Multan
  • Oct 15-19: Second Test, Multan
