Mohsin Naqvi reiterates PCB’s resolve to host Champions Trophy
The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, presided over the 76th Board of Governors (BoG) meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The meeting focused on Pakistan’s preparations for hosting the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Naqvi updated the board members on the tournament’s progress, confirming that Pakistan is on track to host the prestigious event. He reiterated PCB’s commitment to holding the tournament on home soil, calling it a matter of national pride.
“I have always advocated for Pakistan and cricket’s success since day one,” Naqvi said, highlighting the PCB’s readiness and determination. He stressed the need to keep cricket free from politics, emphasizing its importance to millions of fans.
The Board also reviewed ongoing upgrades to stadiums in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, ensuring they meet international standards for the event. Members expressed satisfaction with the progress of the renovations.
