Syed Abu Huraira wins bronze at International Taekwondo Championship in France
Pakistani martial artist Syed Abu Huraira Shah has brought pride to the nation by securing a bronze medal at the International Taekwondo Championship in France. His remarkable achievement highlights Pakistan’s growing presence in the global martial arts arena.
Sharing his excitement on Facebook, Shah expressed his gratitude, stating “I won bronze medal for Pakistan in International Taekwondo Championship in France.”
He further acknowledged the support of Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, saying, “I am grateful to Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab who supported me in every way to make the name of Pakistan internationally”
The championship was a highly competitive event, featuring over 2,000 athletes from more than 20 countries. Competing in the senior category, Shah showcased exceptional skill to claim the third position.
No stranger to international competition, Shah has previously represented Pakistan in tournaments held in Malaysia, Qatar, Dubai, Thailand, and Japan, consistently proving his dedication to the sport.
Meanwhile, Pakistan is preparing to host the 7th Asian Taekwondo (Grade I) Open Championships 2025 from February 14-20 at the Liaquat Gymnasium in Islamabad. The event has already attracted participation from 12 countries and is expected to feature top martial arts talent from across the region.
