Attempts to create rift between army, public will continue to fail, COAS Asim Munir
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir stated that all attempts by hostile elements to create a divide between the army and the people have always failed and will continue to do so.
During a meeting with students from various universities across Pakistan, General Asim Munir emphasized the strong bond between the Pakistani people, particularly the youth, and the armed forces.
He reaffirmed, “The efforts of enemy elements to create discord between the army and the public have always been unsuccessful and will remain so. We take immense pride in our religion, culture, and traditions.”
General Munir further highlighted that Pakistan’s constitution begins with the declaration “Inna al-hukmu illa lillah” (Sovereignty belongs only to Allah), questioning, “Which law and religion do these Khawarij elements claim to follow?”
He firmly stated, “We will never allow the Khawarij to impose their outdated ideology on the nation. The brave people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan stand as a formidable barrier against terrorists.”
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir noted that for the Pakistan Army, only patriotism matters. He expressed his joy in engaging with the country’s youth, emphasizing that Pakistan’s future is in safe hands.
He further added, “The nation, especially the youth, stands firmly behind the Pakistan Army. As long as the spirit of sacrifice remains, the army will never be defeated, InshaAllah. Pashtuns, Sindhis, Baloch, and Punjabis—together, we are fighting against terrorists.”
Speaking on the unity within the armed forces, he remarked, “In the Pakistan Army, we all fight terrorists as comrades. External elements are violating Islamic teachings. Those who surrender to the state can expect mercy.”
General Munir also highlighted the status of women in Islam, saying, “Islam has granted special rights to women. Who has given these extremists the authority to strip them of their rights? No one can take away the rights given by Islam.”
