ATC extends physical remand of Armaghan for five days
KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) extended the physical remand of prime accused Armaghan Qureshi and co-accused Shiraz Bukhari in the Mustafa Aamir murder case for five days.
The case related to the abduction and murder of Mustafa Aamir was heard in the ATC Karachi. During which the investigating officer of the case requested a 14 -day physical remand of the accused.
The investigating officer took a stand in the court that two Armaghan employees have to record the statement of 164. The suspect is also to forensic weapons and laptops found in Armaghan’s house.
During the hearing, the accused fell into the courtroom, on which the prosecutor general said that the accused had fallen similarly in the High Court and ATC Court. However, accused medical was perfectly fit.
The accused, Armaghan, alleged in court that he was not being allowed to eat.
Tahir Rehman Tanoli submitted documents on behalf of the accused Armaghan’s mother, the court asked Armaghan whether he is your lawyer.
Shiraz’s lawyer, Khurram Abbas, told the court that Shiraz was not related to the case and added that without a lady police officer’s house, the house of the accused was raided. The Shiraz’s sister’s laptop was also taken with the police.
After hearing the lawyers’ arguments, the court extended the physical remand of the accused Armaghan and Shiraz for five days and directed the medical examination of both accused.
Eelier, Mustafa Aamir was abducted on January 6 and then a month later, on February 8, the police raided a bungalow in Karachi, to recover Mustafa Aamir. During which accused attacked on police party and three policemen, including the DSP, were injured.
