Karachi: Karachi will start experiencing monsoon rainfall from August 18, offering relief after a stretch of hot and humid days, say to weather officials.
The maximum temperature is expected to reach 35°C today, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 28.5°C.
The humidity level has been recorded at a high 82%, making the heat feel more intense. The city’s atmosphere remains hot and humid, largely due to the suspension of the sea breeze.
The Met Office has stated that monsoon winds from the Arabian Sea are expected to start impacting Sindh, including Karachi, from August 18. A spell of rainfall is predicted between August 18 and August 22.
After days of stifling weather, the upcoming showers are anticipated to bring down temperatures and provide a significant sense of relief for the residents.
Karachi residents are bracing for a welcome change in weather as monsoon rains are set to hit the city starting tomorrow.
