Light rain, cloudy weather expected in Karachi

KARACHI: The metropolis is likely to experience cloudy skies, drizzle, and light rain over the next 24 hours, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast.

According to the Met Office, the maximum temperature in Karachi is expected to remain between 31°C and 33°C, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.9°C.

According to the Meteorological Department, the humidity in the air is 81 % and sea winds across the city are running at 11 kg.

On the other hand, rains are likely in different parts of the country today.

According to the Meteorological Department, rains are expected in Sukkur, Larkana and Naseerabad, while today, Punjab is likely to receive heavy rains with strong winds and thunderstorms at some places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir.

On the other hand, a high flood continues in the River Sutlej at Ganda Singh Wala following the release of water from India, the Flood Forecasting Division (FFD) Lahore reported.

According to the FFD, the River Sutlej is experiencing medium flood levels at Head Sulemanki, while the River Chenab is witnessing low flood levels at Marala and Khanki.

In addition, the River Indus is at medium flood levels at Guddu and Sukkur barrages, and at low flood levels at Tarbela, Kalabagh, and Chashma.
