DOHA: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan and Qatar share deep-rooted, historic, and long-term relations that will continue to strengthen in the coming days.

According to an official statement, the prime minister met Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on the sidelines of the Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir were also present in the meeting.

During the talks, Prime Minister Sharif strongly condemned the Israeli strike on a residential area in Doha, reaffirming Pakistan’s solidarity and full support for Qatar.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister stated that the Israeli attack was a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and international law.

He stressed the urgent need to halt Israeli aggression in the Middle East, emphasizing that in light of Israel’s continued provocations, unity among the Muslim Ummah has become indispensable.
