
Lahore: Pakistan women’s team bowler Nashra Sandhu delivered a spectacular performance in final ODI against South Africa, taking a career best six wickets and earning the player of the match award.
Following her win she gestured with her fingers to make the number of 6.
In the third and final ODI of the series played on Monday at Gaddafi stadium in Lahore the Pakistan women’s cricket team defeated South Africa women’s team by six wickets.

South Africa was bowled out for just 115 runs in 25.5 overs Nashra Sandhu was the star with the ball finishing with impress figures of 6 wickets for 25 runs.
In their chase the Pakistan team successfully reached the 116 run target with four wickets down, securing a six wicket victory. Despite the loss South Africa won the three match series 2-1.
For her outstanding bowling Nashra Sandhu was named player of the match and she used her fingers to form the num of 6 after receiving the award.
This bowler similar incident in the second ODI against South Africa where Pakistani batter Sidra Amin also made a 6 gesture with her fingers after completing her sixth ODI century. This gesture prompted a social media uproar from Indian users who accused the Pakistani cricketer of bringing politics into the game.
It is worth noting that in May, following the “Maarka-e-Haq” (Battle for Truth), Air vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed of the Pakistan Air Force had stated that the PAF achieved a 6-0 victory over the Indian Air Force after shooting down six Indian aircraft.
