Who is Sohail Afridi: All you need to know about new KP CM?

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur formally announced to step down from his role as Sohail Afridi is picked to replace him on the directives of PTI founder.

Sohail Afridi belongs to the Khyber district and became an MPA for the first time from PK-70. He began his political career with the Insaf Students Federation, where he also served as the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa president.

In the current government, Sohail Afridi served as the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Communication and Works, and later, he was appointed as the Minister for Higher Education.

In 2024, Sohail Afridi was elected as a member of the provincial assembly from Khyber district for the first time. He is also a member of PTI’s Central Executive Committee.

A decision has been made to replace Ali Amin Gandapur, and this change not only has the PTI founder’s approval but was directly proposed by him.
